Web hosting provider GigeNET announced on Thursday it has launched its new Cluster Hosting plans that can easily be managed and maintained with InterWorx’s Cluster Panel and added support.
Clustered hosting offers many benefits including scalability, agility and reliability, which are all achieved by spreading services across multiple servers and using load balancers to distribute traffic.
By removing the dependency on one server, single points of failure and most resource limitation issues are eliminated. Clustered hosting is similar to cloud hosting in that it uses the resources of a number of machines, which are available on demand, as the customer’s website traffic fluctuates.
“Despite the numerous benefits of clustered hosting, many companies have steered clear of this solution due to the technical knowledge required for implementation and ongoing maintenance.” said Ameen Pishdadi, GigeNET president and CTO. “GigeNET’s new packages offer all the advantages of clustered hosting without all the complexities. Each package includes GigeNET’s setup and easy administration through InterWorx’s Cluster Panel backed by support from our staff.”
InterWorx’s Cluster Panel offers comparable functions to most conventional control panels, as well as the added capability of load balancing to ensure full availability and the ability to generate virtual machines on demand.
The panel also handles server-to-server configuration and data synchronization automatically.
GigeNET provides a range of web hosting solutions, including dedicated, cloud, hybrid, and colocation, as well as DDoS protection.
Hadquartered just outside of Chicago, Illinois, the company owns and operates a 17,000 squqare foot enterprise-class private data center, as well as a data center in Los Angeles.
